Lawrence J. Leigh is a member of the firm's litigation department.   He concentrates his practice on criminal defense with emphasis on business crimes and other white collar criminal matters. Before joining Parsons Behle & Latimer, Mr. Leigh served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the United States Department of Justice in San Francisco. He specialized in white collar crime. Mr. Leigh has also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Salt Lake City . He also was a shareholder at the Salt Lake City law firm of Fabian & Clendenin.

Mr. Leigh has substantial experience in complex federal criminal cases including mail and wire fraud, RICO, health care, pension plan and labor union fraud, income tax offenses, money laundering, environmental offenses, securities fraud, public and commercial bribery, bankruptcy offenses, false statements, perjury, obstruction of justice, civil rights, controlled substances and extortion. He has tried over 40 criminal and civil cases including over 25 federal felony jury trials. He is an experienced appellate attorney, and has briefed and argued criminal and civil appeals before the Courts of Appeals for the Tenth and Ninth Circuits. His experience includes dealing with forfeiture and suspension and debarment issues. Since leaving the United States Department of Justice in 2005, Mr. Leigh has served both corporate and individual clients in a wide variety of white collar criminal matters.  He believes every criminal case should be approached with the assumption that it is going to trial.
